Managed VPS

Provide a flexible and powerful solution for a single resource-demanding website

What is a VPS?

VPS stands for Virtual Private Server. Thanks to modern virtualization software (we use KVM), one physical server can be split into multiple virtual servers, allowing more efficient use of the server resources and lower prices for compute services.

Managed VPS vs Unmanaged VPS

On a managed VPS server, all software required for running websites, email, and databases is already installed, configured and tuned. On an unmanaged server, you need to install the required server software and configure it. On a managed VPS server, our system administrators take care of all security and performance updates. On an unmanaged VPS server, you need to monitor for updates yourself and apply them on your own.

Managed VPS Features

Free Site Migrations

Leave the boring stuff to us – we will move and test your website on our infrastructure free of charge, usually within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your request.

All Managed VPS plans get two free dedicated IP addresses. One IP address is for the hosting service, and the other is for system use. You can also purchase additional dedicated IP addresses at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I consider the managed VPS plans (Startup and First Class)?

We have designed our managed VPS plans for customers with sites that have outgrown the resources of the shared hosting environment. You can host popular sites, sites gone viral, sites with high CPU usage, etc. With our managed VPS plans you will keep the user-friendly feel of our shared services, but you will take advantage of way more system resources.

When should I consider the Ultimate plan?

The Ultimate plan is our most powerful VPS solution. You get 10 CPU cores, 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of SSD space. These resources will allow you to host almost any site on the Internet. The Ultimate plan is meant to host very popular sites or complex resource-demanding software. In short, it’s meant for sites that demand even more resources than the Startup and First Class plans can handle.

What is the difference between VPS and Shared Hosting?

On a shared web hosting server, there are many different clients sharing the same server. On a VPS, you are the only tenant – only the accounts you set up share the server.

What is the difference between VPS and Cloud Hosting?

Cloud hosting services are actually very similar to VPS services. The main advantage of cloud services is the potential for unlimited and/or dynamic scalability of the resources. With our VPS plans, you can also scale up and down, but this process cannot be automated.

What does fully managed hosting mean?

Fully managed VPS hosting means that the server hardware and software is fully managed by us. This includes updates to the operating system, to the web server, mail server, database server, etc. We also monitor the server performance and uptime 24/7.

Do you back up my data?

Yes, we do. We create system backups every 12 hours, and we keep them at a remote server for up to 15 days.
